Where to Stay
Aruba is part of the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire, Curaco) located in the southern part of the Caribbean right above South America. Aruba is one of our favorite places and this was actually our fourth time here. Every time we visit Aruba, we stay at the Hyatt Regency. It is a really nice resort right on the beach with very friendly and helpful staff. The resort pool features a water slide and swim up bar. The grounds of the resort also are home to various parrots and iguanas that like to wander around.
What to Do
If you have a vehicle with 4 wheel drive and are adventurous, there are a lot of dirt roads throughout the island to explore. Every time we visit Aruba, we always go to see the lighthouse and eat at the Faro Blanco. It is high up on the island which allows for great views and the food is excellent. Another restaurant we always make sure to eat at is the Flying Fish Bone. The tables are on the beach and if you are close enough to the ocean, your feet will get wet. Aruba also offers a lot of high end shopping including Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Kate Spade, Prada, Ralph Lauren, and my personal favorite a Lilly Pulitzer signature store.
