Lilly Pulitzer Stuffed Animals

Lilly Pulitzer Stuffed Flamingo

These Lilly Pulitzer stuffed animals were so much fun to make! For this flamingo I used Lilly Pulitzer – Local Flavor fabric from a crib sheet from the Pottery Barn collaboration. I was able to find a solid light pink match fabric at Hobby Lobby and my Dollar Tree had rolls of black and white felt which were used for the beak. The two eyes are different vintage buttons my mother had laying around.

I originally saw some other Lilly lover make this flamingo out of Lilly fabric so I searched online and was able to find the exact pattern. Funky Friends Factory has many different patterns to choose from and the owner also provides detailed instructions on how to complete the animals. The flamingo pattern can be found here.

For this flamingo, I used Lilly Pulitzer Tappin it Back fabric and two different neon yellow buttons which were extra buttons from clothing I purchased. I was not able to find cotton fabric the neon color that I was looking for. The original Lilly Pulitzer shift dress in this print has a neon yellow-green zipper and I wanted to match that for the wings and the legs. I ended up getting neon green and neon yellow Rit dye and combined them together to get the perfect color dye to dye my white cotton fabric.

This crocodile was definitely more complicated than the flamingo but is so much fun to make! I used Lilly Pulitzer Croc A Locca fabric and solid green Kona fabric from JOANN. His eyes are vintage buttons. The pattern for this crocodile can be found here.
